Yet another photo shoot
I went through my novel chapter-by-chapter and scene-by-scene yesterday and plotted out the best lines and scenes that screamed out visual. I decided… I need another shoot. So I spoke with my wonderful model today and he is excited for the opportunity to continue with the work. Such good news, because he is so pretty and I don’t think I have the heart to find a new muse for this character. I wish I could show you some of the best of the pictures, but I have to save them for the book. Honestly, he is a very sweet guy, so I am excited to work with him again. I think he will do very well in the future.
So for now I am plotting, planning, designing and organizing the photo shoot which is slated for this spring when the weather is warm, because we are shooting on location. I recently got my manuscript back from someone who agreed to read it, even though she is not a romance reader. She is a dear friend and pointed out some very big issues with the book that I couldn’t see just because I am so close to it. It’s great to have such good friends participate and give me their insight to the story and what they thought of it. I think having people of all different backgrounds is important because you never know what little thing will get pointed out that you need to address.
For that reason I also gave the manuscript to three of my photojournalist friends. They all think in terms of visual stories, so I’m hoping they will be able to point out even more errors with the visual moments in the book, as well as which scenes are the most visual and scream to be brought out in imagery for my readers.
So here is another image that won’t be making into the final edition of the novel (just makes you wonder what DID make the edit doesn’t it?)
